Skype status 'away' after logging out - fix

Sometimes Skype shows my status as "away" even after I've logged out of my account on all devices. According to this post, this may be because of the Skype feature that allows one to receive push notifications on smartphones about new chats and calls when the Skype app is closed. Unfortunately, the implementation of this feature seems to be buggy as even after an explicit sign out, sometimes the user continues to appear logged in.

Using the /remotelogout chat command may solve this issue - at least it worked for me. It signs you out of all instances except the current one. Please see the documentation.
